Track faculty and staff work hours with timesheets.

Overview

Timesheet management enables:

  • Work hour tracking for faculty/staff
  • Project and activity-based time logging
  • Approval workflow
  • Integration with payroll

Submit Timesheet

Daily Time Entry

  1. Go to OpenEduCat > Timesheet > My Timesheets
  2. Click Create
  3. Enter time entries:

ProjectCourse/Department
ActivityTeaching/Admin/Research
HoursTime spent
DescriptionWork summary

Weekly View

  1. Go to Timesheet > Weekly View
  2. Select week
  3. Fill hours for each day
  4. Click Save

Quick Timer

  1. Click Start Timer on any activity
  2. Work on the task
  3. Click Stop Timer
  4. Time automatically logged

Timesheet Approval

Submit for Approval

  1. Complete timesheet entries
  2. Click Submit
  3. Timesheet sent to supervisor

Manager Approval

  1. Go to Timesheet > To Approve
  2. Review submitted timesheets
  3. Click Approve or Reject
  4. Add comments if rejecting

Approval Workflow

Draft → Submitted → Approved → Locked
Rejected → Draft

Timesheet Reports

Individual Report

  1. Go to Reports > My Timesheet Report
  2. Select date range
  3. View hours by:
    • Day
    • Project
    • Activity

Department Report

  1. Go to Reports > Department Timesheets
  2. Select department
  3. View all staff timesheets

Integration with Payroll

Timesheets feed into payroll for:

  • Overtime calculation
  • Attendance verification
  • Project cost allocation
