Record a Discipline Incident
Document student behavioral incidents with details, evidence, and initial assessment.
Time required: 5-10 minutes
Prerequisites
- Discipline Manager or Faculty role
- Misbehavior categories configured
- Student record exists
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Discipline
- Go to OpenEduCat → Discipline → Discipline Records
- Click Create
Step 2: Enter Incident Details

Step 3: Describe the Incident
In the Description field, document:
- What happened
- Who was involved
- Witness information
- Immediate actions taken
Step 4: Attach Evidence (Optional)
Upload supporting documents:
- Photos
- Written statements
- Video clips
Step 5: Set Severity

Step 6: Save Incident
Click Save to record the incident.
Follow-Up Actions
After recording:
- Click Assign Action to set disciplinary action
- Options include:
- Verbal warning
- Written warning
- Detention
- Parent meeting
- Suspension

Troubleshooting
Cannot create record
Check:
- You have discipline permissions
- Student is active
- Required fields filled
