Record a Discipline Incident

Document student behavioral incidents with details, evidence, and initial assessment.

Time required: 5-10 minutes

Prerequisites

  • Discipline Manager or Faculty role
  • Misbehavior categories configured
  • Student record exists

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Discipline

  1. Go to OpenEduCatDisciplineDiscipline Records
  2. Click Create

Step 2: Enter Incident Details

Step 3: Describe the Incident

In the Description field, document:

  • What happened
  • Who was involved
  • Witness information
  • Immediate actions taken

Step 4: Attach Evidence (Optional)

Upload supporting documents:

  • Photos
  • Written statements
  • Video clips

Step 5: Set Severity

Step 6: Save Incident

Click Save to record the incident.

Follow-Up Actions

After recording:

  1. Click Assign Action to set disciplinary action
  2. Options include:
    • Verbal warning
    • Written warning
    • Detention
    • Parent meeting
    • Suspension

Troubleshooting

Cannot create record

Check:

  • You have discipline permissions
  • Student is active
  • Required fields filled
