Overview

The KPI Dashboard provides:

  • Real-time institutional metrics
  • Visual charts and graphs
  • Customizable widgets
  • Role-based dashboard views
  • Automated alerts and notifications

Access Dashboard

Main Dashboard

  1. Go to OpenEduCat > Dashboard
  2. Or click Dashboard icon in top menu

Customize Dashboard

Add Widget

  1. Click Edit Dashboard (gear icon)
  2. Click Add Widget
  3. Select widget type:
    • Number card
    • Line chart
    • Bar chart
    • Pie chart
    • Table
  4. Configure data source
  5. Save

Arrange Widgets

  1. Enter edit mode
  2. Drag widgets to rearrange
  3. Resize by dragging corners
  4. Save layout

Remove Widget

  1. Enter edit mode
  2. Click X on widget
  3. Confirm removal

Save as Default

  1. Arrange dashboard
  2. Click Save as Default
  3. This becomes your default view

Create Custom KPIs

Define KPI

  1. Go to Dashboard > Configuration > KPIs
  2. Click Create
  3. Configure:

Example: Monthly Admission Rate

Name: Monthly Admissions
Model: op.admission
Measure: Count
Domain: [('state', '=', 'enrolled'), ('create_date', '>=', month_start)]
Target: 100

Add Comparison

Compare with:

  • Previous period
  • Same period last year
  • Custom date range

Set Alerts

  1. Open KPI configuration
  2. Go to Alerts tab
  3. Configure:
    • Threshold (above/below target)
    • Alert recipients
    • Notification frequency

Export Reports

Export to PDF

  1. Click Export button
  2. Select PDF
  3. Choose layout:
    • Current view
    • All KPIs
    • Selected widgets

Export to Excel

  1. Click Export
  2. Select Excel
  3. Data exported with formulas

Schedule Reports

  1. Go to Dashboard > Scheduled Reports
  2. Create schedule:
    • Frequency (daily/weekly/monthly)
    • Recipients
    • Format
  3. Reports sent automatically

Share Dashboard

  1. Click Share
  2. Generate link
  3. Set permissions:
    • View only
    • Can edit
    • Time-limited access
