Conduct faculty and staff performance evaluations and reviews.

Overview

The Appraisals module enables:

  • Structured performance reviews
  • Goal setting and tracking
  • 360° feedback collection
  • Self-assessment options
  • Historical performance records

Configure Appraisal Templates

Create Template

  1. Go to Appraisals > Configuration > Appraisal Templates
  2. Click New
  3. Define evaluation criteria:

Configure rating options:

Schedule Appraisals

Individual Appraisal

  1. Go to Appraisals > Appraisals
  2. Click New
  3. Configure:

  1. Click Confirm

Bulk Schedule

For periodic reviews:

  1. Go to Appraisals > Configuration > Settings
  2. Set appraisal frequency:
    • Quarterly
    • Semi-annual
    • Annual
  3. Enable Automatic Scheduling
  4. System creates appraisals for all employees

Notification

  • Employee receives appraisal notification
  • Manager receives reminder
  • HR tracks completion status

Conduct Appraisal

Manager Evaluation

  1. Open the appraisal

  2. Fill evaluation form:

    • Rate each criterion
    • Add comments and observations
    • Note achievements
    • Identify improvement areas
  3. Click Submit Evaluation

Self-Assessment

If enabled:

  1. Employee receives self-assessment request
  2. Employee rates their own performance
  3. Answers open-ended questions
  4. Submits before manager review

Appraisal Meeting

  1. Schedule review meeting
  2. Discuss:
    • Performance ratings
    • Achievements and challenges
    • Development needs
    • Future goals
  3. Document meeting notes
  4. Both parties sign off

360° Feedback

What is 360° Feedback?

Collect evaluations from:

  • Direct manager
  • Peers/colleagues
  • Subordinates (if applicable)
  • Self-assessment

Request Feedback

  1. Open appraisal
  2. Click Request Feedback
  3. Select reviewers:
    • Department colleagues
    • Other faculty members
    • Administrative staff
  4. Send requests

Compile Results

  1. Wait for responses
  2. View anonymous feedback
  3. Identify common themes
  4. Include in final evaluation

Goals and Objectives

Set Goals

  1. Open employee record or appraisal
  2. Go to Goals tab
  3. Click Add Goal:

Track Progress

  1. Go to Appraisals > Goals
  2. Update progress periodically
  3. Mark complete when achieved
  4. Review in next appraisal

Reports

Appraisal Analysis

  1. Go to Appraisals > Reporting
  2. View:
    • Completion rates
    • Average ratings by department
    • Rating distribution
    • Year-over-year trends

Individual History

  1. Open employee record
  2. View past appraisals
  3. Track performance trends
  4. Identify development needs
