Manage the complete student admission lifecycle from application to enrollment.


Overview

The Admission module handles:

  • Admission Registers - Define admission windows/campaigns
  • Applications - Receive and process student applications
  • Enrollment - Convert admitted students to enrolled students

Quick Start

Create your first admission campaign

  1. OpenEduCat > Admission > Admission Register
  2. Click Create
  3. Fill in campaign name and dates
  4. Select course and set limits
  5. Click Save

Key Concepts

Admission Register

A defined period when applications are accepted for a specific course or program. Each register has:

  • Start and end dates
  • Target course/program
  • Seat limits (minimum and maximum)
  • Age requirements

Application States

Applications move through these states:

Draft → Submitted → Under Review → Shortlisted → Admitted → Enrolled
↘ Rejected

Application vs Student

  • Application (op.admission): A person applying for admission
  • Student (op.student): An enrolled person in the institution

When you click Enroll Student, the application is converted to a student record.


Prerequisites

Before using Admission:

  • Academic Year configured (Setup Guide)
  • At least one Course created
  • At least one Batch created
  • Admission module enabled in Settings
